The tech giant, yesterday, rolled out a new application for small and medium businesses owners ‘Facebook Business Suite’ that lets them manage their business pages or profiles across Facebook, Instagram and Messenger at one place. Facebook Business Suite application, will merge the functionality of the three apps to allow users to receive notifications, alerts and messages from customers on one integrated interface. This application will also provide access to engagement metrics with a Facebook and Instagram insights tab to allow users to measure monitor their campaigns on the platform.
“Today we’re introducing Facebook Business Suite, a new interface to help businesses save time and stay up to date by managing their pages or profiles across our apps. It allows them to post to Facebook and Instagram at the same time, and manage and receive messages, notifications and alerts in one place. They can also easily see what’s working and learn what’s resonating with customers with Facebook and Instagram insights.” Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg said in a blog post.
It was also reported that the company is planning to integrate Facebook Business Suite to the most used social app, WhatsApp soon which will be useful for Small businesses who operate online now that Coronavirus pandemic brought many businesses online. This development is among Facebook’s move to help small businesses especially during these hard times of COVID-19.
How do I get started with Facebook Business Suite?
Getting started with this application is as easy as creating a new Instagram account if your Facebook and Instagram business account is already linked. Facebook recommends that you should first link your accounts to get the most out of this app.
After linking your business accounts, you need first to login to the Facebook account associated with your business on your computer. Once you are logged in, the Business suite can be accessed by opening this URL on your browser, business.facebook.com and you will be automatically redirected to your business suite if you are eligible.
If you are using the page manager app on your mobile, you will see the option to opt-in this app if you wish. Facebook also notes that Facebook Business Suite application is available for both Android and iOS.
“This feature will be available to small and medium businesses before it rolls out to larger business later in the year,” Facebook says. “ It will also not be available for those using Ads Manager”.
