Sony has confirmed a PlayStation 5 showcase event scheduled on Wednesday, 16th September that will stream live on Youtube and Twitch. The event is set at 1 PM PDT, which in East Africa Time zone is 11 PM. This comes after Microsoft recently revealed Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S game consoles pricing and ship dates.
What we expect from PlayStation 5 Showcase event
We expect the Japanese Tech giant, Sony to announce some of the great games coming with the console before its launch. It is not still clear whether the company will reveal the official price and the exact launch details of the console. However, many people believe that Sony will use this event to reveal the price and launch details since their rivals Microsoft Xbox have already done so.
Here is what Sony said in a blog post, “Before PlayStation 5 launches this holiday, we wanted to give you one more look at some of the great games coming to PS5 at launch (and beyond!).
Our next digital showcase will weigh in at around 40 minutes, and feature updates on the latest titles from Worldwide Studios and our world-class development partners.
Tune in live on Twitch or YouTube this Wednesday, September 16 at 1 pm PDT / 9 pm BST / 10 pm CEST to see what’s next for PS5.”
This said, we already know more about the PS5. The console will be made available in two options: a standard version and a digital version. The PS5 will feature a custom eight-core AMD Zen 2 CPU clocked at 3.5GHz and a 10.29 teraflops custom GPU. It’ll also have 16GB of GDDR6 RAM and a custom 825GB SSD. The next-gen console will also come with the new DualSense 5 controller. The PS5 will be able to output resolutions up to 8K and deliver frame rates as high as 120 fps for 4K gaming. The console will support advanced visual effects such as real-time ray tracing. Over 40 PS5 games have been announced so far.
The Livestream video will be embedded here at INFO-LEO when it’s available. Be sure to check it out.
